MISSION STATEMENTOur objective at Helping Hands Preschool is to promote whole child development. We will accomplish this through meeting the children’s needs and requirements in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where they can grow to their full potential.

GOALS
- To provide a preschool program that meets the social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs of the children enrolled.
- To provide a program that is fun for all children and ensure opportunities for quality interactions between all children.
- To initiate and conduct the learning process in an individualized manner to foster optimal growth in each child’s development.
- To provide activities that develop an awareness and acceptance of individual similarities and differences between children.
- To provide a family-centered program where parents, teachers and other professionals work as a collaborative team.
Helping Hands Preschool - Meet Our Teachers

Amanda graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C. She has over seven years experience in teaching and management positions and is the proud mother of four boys.

Hardeep graduated from the Early Childhood Education program (with distinction) at Kwantlen University College in Surrey, B.C. She has over nine years experience in teaching and management positions, and is the proud mother of two daughters and a son.

Learning Centres
Our classroom is divided into learning centres. These centres will allow the children to make choices, to move freely and independently, and to explore and experiment.
Block Centre
This centre provides opportunity for learning and development in the following skill areas:
- fine motor and gross motor development ;
- cause and effect reasoning and problem solving skills
Science/ Discovery Centre

This centre provides opportunity to:
- stimulate curiosity
- develop observation skills
Dramatic Play Centre
This centre provides opportunity for learning and development in the following skill areas:
- expressive language
- peer interaction
- co-operation
Art Centre
This centre provides opportunity for learning and development in the following skill areas:
- visual discrimination and fine motor co-ordination
- an appreciation for the process, not the end product
- expressive language
- peer interaction
- co-operation
